Chance me for Exeter and Deerfield

Basics:
I’ll be applying for 10th grade
I’ll need financial aid
I’m a white American girl
I’m in 10th grade now so I’ll be repeating it (I heard that improves chances a lot)

Academics:
Throughout middle school I had all A’s except for two or three high B’s sixth grade year
Last year I had two high B’s first semester in honors science and math.
This year I have all A’s.
I take the hardest classes my school has to offer
I’ve taken Spanish for two years
I’ve been on the honors roll since sixth grade

Extracurricular activities
I play tennis competitively
I play soccer, golf, swim and ski for fun
I'm write for the school newspaper
I do a lot of acting, auditioning for plays and taking acting classes.
I've been in girl scouts for ten years and have done (I swear I'm not exaggerating) hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of community service.
I've earned my bronze, silver, and (almost) gold award, three huge community service projects.
I play the piano
I’m going to join history club
I babysit
I've written a few novels on my computer. Nothings published but all of them over 50,000 words. Writing is usually what I do in my free time.

I haven't yet taken the SSAT...
I'm positive that my teachers would all write good letters of recommendation for me. All my teachers love me.
I also haven’t yet had an interview but I think that will go well too. I'm really good with adults.

Also, I have tourette syndrome. It's a movement disorder. I have it fairly mild. It's had no effect on my life whatsoever. Would this hurt me... because, well, it's a disorder. Or could it actually make me stand out considering I've basically overcome something that most people with the disorder can't do.

With that being said, do I have a chance at either of those schools?

Hi, I’ll be applying this year too (as an incoming freshman) so my input may not be valid, but I’ll just give you my general feeling.

Your stats look good! (: You also seem like a very well-rounded person, but I can’t see your main focus/passion from all those EC’s. I’m sure you have one or many, so be sure to emphasize that. And…take some time to think about why you would want to have this experience.

I have tourette’s syndrome too (very mild–has gotten progressively better) and it’s nice to meet someone who understands. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt your chances.

So yes, you have a chance. Be sure to study for the ssat and all that. Are you applying to any other schools?

nothing really stands out except for tourettes

@snap, What stands out is your rudeness.
@love2act, your passion for the theater and community srv. is impressive. These schools will take notice of you. Add a safety school w/ a strong theater program to your list just to be safe of course.
Good luck :D

Good luck!
