Chance me for Exeter

@dckx15 Oh, nice! Maybe I’ll see you (it’s a small world after all)… Are you done with your interviews/essays?

Interviews: Yes
Essays: Work in progress

Hello. @juniormint2017 is right on spot. Admissions from China, even though you are a US national is going to be tough.

Most schools use a holistic approach and compare you to others in the same country. Applications from China have soared over the last few years.

Your scores are within range, however you haven’t done a good job creating a good story about yourself and how you’d fit in. You are good at a bunch of different things but not a star in one particular area.

You still stand a good chance given that you don’t need FA. However broaden your search and include some lower tier and hidden gem schools so that you have some options come Mar 15.

Sgopal2 is right on target

Hey guys, I have an update. I’m talking to the coaches about my swimming records, and I feel like I might have a chance. However, these scores are terrible compared against the decent swimmers (I’m probably the worst). Well, I have some times here, and if any of you are swimmers, tell me what you think.

50 Meter Free: 28s
50 Meter Butterfly: 31s
50 Meter Breast: 37s (really bad)

Thanks!

Most prep schools only do the 50 free and in yards but your other 50 strokes may be good for relays. What are your 100 times? Many boys are going in the 22s range for 50 free yards which is a 24.5 in Meters.

Have you looked at www.nepssa.org to compare your times? If you would come in the top 3 or 4 and score points then I would say you would be considered a recruit.

I don’t swim, but the fact that you swim at all would probably help you a little…
