Chance me for Florida schools (UF,FSU, UCF)

UF,FSU, and UCF

3.2 UW gpa and 3.73 W gpa (going by the A=4, B=3, C=2 etc. with +.5 honors and +1 AP/IB)
I am OOS as well (go to school up north but mom lives in Fl so I would pay instate but during application process I am considered OOS)
Took advanced/honors classes freshman and sophomore year
then took IB classes junior and (going to be) senior year. Plus I am in the IB program
and my school has AP and IB classes together. So im taking the AP exams even though on my school transcript it only says IB classes.

SAT score: 1750 first time. (didnt have time to study at all so im retaking it.. hope to get much higher)

I also have a lot of extra curricular activities
piano (12yrs), dance(10yrs),swimming (3yrs), volunteer work (200+)
and some more.

I live in Florida and my brother goes to UCF and LOVES it.
UCF- definitely
FSU- most likely- they tend to be a little random though
UF- definitely a reach but if you get your SAT’s up then maybe
good luck!

did you also factor in me being OOS?
and do you know if I calculated my GPA right? Not sure what scale it is on but this is what ive been told…

i think your GPA looks right. but that’s true… since your OOS that might not be so helpful since FSU, UCF and UF tend to take mostly in state.
but with that being said, i still like UCF for you is definitely an acceptance.

Also do you know what admissions does for + and - on transcripts?

Say i get an A-, B+, B, A, C+ … someone told me that they just turn them to solid grades. like an A+,A, and A- all equal a 4 same with B+,B,B- equal a 3… etc.
is that true?
Sorry for the billion questions!

to calculate your weighted gpa for fsu and uf you only use academic classes first of all.

then give yourself 1 extra point for an ap/aice that you received at least a c on. for example if you got a b you would get 4 points.

honors courses receive an extra 1/2 point.

that is how you calculate your weighted gpa…

then go to the website and look at the gpa’s for both uf and fsu to see what they accept and see your chances.

those websites will also tell you the ranges for sat and act scores.

write a good essay and hope for the best.
