3.2 UW gpa. (low i know) idk what my UF weighted gpa would be.. maybe around a 3.7/3.8+ ishh
OOS as well!
Took advanced/honors classes freshman and sophomore year
then took IB classes junior and (going to be) senior year. Plus I am in the IB program
and my school has AP and IB classes together. So im taking the AP exams even though on my school transcript it only says IB classes.

SAT score: 1750 first time. (didnt have time to study at all so im retaking it.. hope to get much higher)

I also have a lot of extra curricular activities
piano (12yrs), dance(10yrs),swimming (3yrs), volunteer work (200+)
and some more.

From my understanding UF goes wild for IB students since they have to maintain their status as the place with “most IB” people or whatever… But if you at least get your SAT score up then you should be fine. The reason I said SAT score and not GPA is because I know those IB classes are hard (not from personal experience, thankfully). Plus UF doesn’t look at senior grades, so there’s not much you can do at this point anyways.

my gpa is 3.58 W (LOW, SUPER LOW I KNOW!!) totally misguessed it.
but its a 3.58 going by the
4.0 - A
3.7 - A-
3.3 - B+
3.0 - B
2.7 - B-
2.3 - C+ etc…
and of course the added +.5 honors and +1 AP/IB added in there.
I thought it would be higher since i am in IB but ive only been in IB this year (junior year) so it didnt really boost up my gpa that much…

correct me if i am wrong with this gpa scale.
thank you!

No, I didn’t. What does being OOS do for you in regards to UF admissions anyways? lol
It probably has no effect on admissions, but you said it like it would help your chances.

The chances are lower for OOS. We had a few kids with Ivy type stats get denied OOS this year. Only 2% of the class comes from everywhere else so it’s competitive.

no i said it as in concern.
exactly what jcold9 said
it makes it harder for me
altho because my mom lives in florida i would pay instate tuition but during application process i would be considered out of state since i went to an out of state high school…

UF is a florida public school, meaning florida taxpayers are paying to run the school. Hence, instate students have better chances of being accepted.

To be honest, because you are OOS, I don’t think anyone can tell you if it’s an assuring yes or no. If i were to judge you as instate though I would say you have good extracurriculars, and your gpa is slacking a bit but thats no biggy if you have decent sat scores. You should really try raising those sat scores so your chances of getting into college in general will go up.
