Purdue is my top choice school and I read some of the posts from last year’s admission decisions and it seems like some high stat students get rejected and some with lower stats got accepted. I’m out of state and applied EA. My SAT is 1460. My math score is 780. I am in the top 10% of my class. GPAW is 3.95 and GPAUW is about 3.7. I’m in 4 AP classes this year including calculus bc and have taken 5 other AP’s sophomore and junior year. What do you think my chances of being admitted are? I was accepted to U of Minnesota and have a safety school I’ve been accepted to but my top choice is Purdue.
I think you are in the ball park as long as your B grades weren’t in physics, chem, or math. Good luck!
Your numbers are about the same as my D’s (1400/3.8/4 AP total - B’s in all Math) who is now a Junior. I don’t think the class makeup has changed that much in a few years. Numbers are only part of the equation, but your numbers should put you in decent position.
