<p>i have applied EA to GA Tech. I am an American resident but Indian citizen, Indian education.</p>

SAT - 2100
CR - 650, Math - 790 (got 1 damn question wrong), Writ - 660</p>

<p>SAT 2 - Physics - 800
Chemistry - 730 (will retake it though it doesn't matter now)</p>

<p>Class XII - First Term - Total (P,C,M,E,PE) - 84%
PCM - 82%
Class XI - Overall - 72%</p>

<p>Class X - 9.2/10 CBSE board (for those of you who know Indian education pattern)</p>

<p>TOEFL - 99 (bad i know)</p>

<li><p>My brother is a current student at georgia tech. He is doing his MS and has got research opportunity.(Note he is a current student and not a alumini)</p></li>
<li><p>Got 2 recommendations from physics and maths teachers. They should be pretty good i will say. </p></li>
<li><p>In my essay i wrote about my struggle with Maths and how i overcame my fear of it and now how easy it has become for me. </p>

<h2>(didn't write it but i love calculus and trigonometry, i have done high level study of both of them, from what i reckon my brother says that with my high level study in physics and maths i shouldn't have problem in first 2 years of college.)</h2></li>

<p>Hey, sorry to tell you but recommendations don’t exactly matter at tech. Your test scores are great but remember the rigor of your classes really matters. I don know the pattern of Indian education so I couldn’t exactly put that into perspective. Your ECs aren’t too exceptional but they aren’t bad. Have you calculated your class rank or gpa? If so, add that to the thread because it’s really helpful when chancing a student. And your essay, it’s not like I haven’t heard it before, and if I have heard it… The admissions office is probably tired of the same old topic. </p>

<p>Overall your test scores can help you out but it’s not a definite match simply because of the other things I stated above.</p>

<p>i rank in top 5%.
and Indian higher education system is one of the toughest in the world. I should be given some leverage due to that. Our exams are way tougher than the AP exams that i have seen.</p>

<p>I think that you have great chances - tech schools care a lot about scores, and a 790…wow. The fact that your brother goes there will help your cause.</p>

<p>match - high match , ur SAT’s are HIGHER then average , good idea using ur 2 teachers whom teaches subject that assist ur major gives college opinion on how u fit as a student there!

<p>You have a legacy. You grades are great in Indian system. And your SATs are in standards. I think you have a good chance - make sure you write good essays.</p>
