Chance me for GA Tech!

So there's not much that I can do at this point except wait, since I applied EA. I made this thread mostly for peace of mind, because lately this is ALL I can think about.

Gender: Female
Race: Asian
I am also a resident of Georgia, but I'm not sure if that's important.

Weighted GPA: 4.0

Class Rank 13/277

SAT Score: 1940 (CR 570/M 730/W 640)
I did retake the SATs for the 3rd time a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping that my score will go up to at least 2000+ superscored.

AP Classes & Scores:
AP World: 3
AP Bio: 4
AP Lang & Comp: 4
AP Stat: 4
AP Chem: 4
AP Gov: 2 (that was a bust lol)

Current AP Classes (senior year):
AP Calc BC
AP Latin
AP Econ

ECs:
- Officer of Latin Club
- Officer of Global Public Health Club (This was a club started by one of my close friends to raise awareness for public health).
- NHS
- Piano Student of 3+ Years

I listed a total of 9 ECs, but those are my most important ones.

Work & Volunteer Experiences:
- Athens Regional Medical Center Volunteer: 76+ hours of volunteering
- Young Dawgs (an internship through UGA): Apx. 150+ hours
- Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant Server
- China Star Buffet Server

I know my SAT score is a bit on the lower side, but I was wondering if my application still balanced out in the end. Are my ECs and APs around the norm? Looking at other chance me threads for GA tech, it seems SATs are quite important :( I'm not feeling too confident about my essay either (it was incredibly rushed). So I guess my primary question is... what's the worst that could happen in my case?

We’ve been led to believe that they are looking for girls… your M score is great! My D was on the fence and her CR/M scores were just the opposite and she had a difficult time visualizing herself there so in the end decided not to apply. I think you have a really good chance and please keep us posted! At least you won’t have to wait long.

It’s a high match right now, but if you get that 2000+ superscore, it becomes a match!

Thank you both for your replies!

Snorkelmom, yes I’ve been told that, but I’m sure a lot of other girls are also thinking the same thing, so they will probably have a relatively higher number of females applying this year. And I will definitely keep everyone posted! Best of luck to your daughter as well :)

Queso, I was hoping it wouldn’t come to that. I’m really not sure if my score went up that much. I’m pretty confident my math score increased, but I’m not sure about my reading… which is what really needs to improve, but thank you for replying!
