Bored of writing my summer work. Let's do this.

GPA: 3.75 UW, 4.3 W
Class Rank: Top 10% out of 185
Course Rigor: Most rigorous schedule possible
School Type: Sends a number of kids to Ivies and just below Ivies every year

Academic Interest: International Relations, although I'm open to other programs in the social sciences. Wesleyan's College of Social Studies interests me a lot, as does the Georgetown SFS curriculum. I'm interested in a wide variety of topics, as my ECs show, but I like IR the most because it allows me to combine all or most of my interests into one field. Also, it's just fun.

SAT: 2310 (800 CR, 780 M, 730 W) in sophomore year
SAT IIs: 800 US History, 800 Math Level II, 790 Chemistry
APs: Chem, US History, English Language, Calc BC (5 on all of them)

ECs:
Academic Challenge -- 4 years on A team, team came in second at Nationals this year, I was named tournament MVP, easily the activity I'm most dedicated to and which consumes most of my time.
Amnesty International -- 4 years, officer next year
President of National Honor Society
Math Team -- 4 years
Temple Youth Group -- 4 years

I've been a camp counselor for the past three summers, and volunteered at the local library's reading program this summer (not coincidentally working with most of the same kids--it's a great job).

Sports:
Cross Country -- 4 years, 1 varsity
Bowling -- 3 years, 3 varsity
Track -- 3 years, 3 varsity

Awards and Honors:
Won State History Bee, came in top 15 at Nationals junior year
National Merit Semifinalist
AP Scholar with Honor (because it means so much)

Recommendations: My English and APUSH teachers, both of whose classes I did very well in, especially on writing assignments, and who each know me well.

Essays: Hopefully good? I'm a strong writer and I have some creative ideas, so I think these combined with my recommendations will give me a boost. They should also reflect my strong interest in International Relations, plus my desire to learn.

Schools:
Georgetown SFS (EA)
UNC Chapel Hill (EA)
Columbia
Johns Hopkins
Swarthmore
Pomona
William and Mary
Wesleyan
Brown (double legacy)
SUNY Geneseo
American

Thanks for responding! If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them.
