<p>Hello my name is Carlos. I am currently a senior in high school and I'm planning on applying to Gtech engineering. </p>

<p>Gpa: I calculated my gpa according to Gtech standards and it would be around 3.8
Sat: 1830
Reading: 540
Math: 670
Writing: 620</p>

<p>Main courses:</p>

<p>(Took algebra 1 in 8th grade which counted as a high school credit) got a B
Freshman year:
Biology honors - A
Geometry honors - A
World history honors - B
English 1 - B</p>

<p>Sophomore year:
Algebra 2 honors- A
Precalculus honors - A
Chemistry - A
English 2 - B</p>

<p>Junior year:
AP calculus AB - A (best math student in the class, got a 5 on the AP test)
AP statistics - B (4 on the test)
Physics honors - A
US History - B
English 3 - B
Was rewarded with the math trophy, meaning I am the top math student in the 2014 class. </p>

<p>Senior year:
AP calculus BC
AP physics C
AP economics
AP government
English 4</p>

<p>EC:
Part of a 4 year hospitality and tourism academy.
DECA member for 3 years (treasurer of DECA during my junior year, as well as state qualifier for professional selling)
Tennis team during 9th grade.
Engineering club member 11-12 grades
Work at the local mall as a sales representative - 12th grade
Had an internship with a valet parking company during the 2013 summer (received community hours 250+)
Created a website for a local transportation company. </p>

<p>I have taken every possible math course at my school. I am currently the top math student for all the grades. I don't consider myself a good SAT test taker so there is really not much I could do about the score (already increased it 200 points).
I am Hispanic (Colombian) and arrived 5 years ago. Not sure if that's relevant when applying.
Top 10% in the class. </p>
