**** i just want to get into ONE OF THEM (top choice is dartmouth) but thats 13 SCHOOLS im applying to!!!! one of them will take me right
if not transfering works right?

I could see you as a pretty good candidate  If you apply to all of them one of them will most likely accept you. You won’t know until you apply ;), but it seems like you have a good SAT score, good GPA, good involvement / volunteer work / ECs, so I don’t see why you wouldn’t get accepted. Good Luck :)

~FinalWorld

All are reaches except for USC; youll get in there. Your bound to get into ones of those reaches with your charisma. Good Luck!

I’d say you have a great shot at USC, but I wouldn’t bet on any of the others.

thanks guys

Decent shot at USC, not much at the others. Your SAT is low for the Ivies, but you come off as very charismatic. If you can reflect that in your essays, I’d say you could get into at least one Ivy as well.

This, combined with SAT < 2100, makes it unlikely you’ll get into the universities you’ve named.

You need to develop a much more realistic college list.

Or, you could do that.

Also remember that Ivies rarely (if ever) accept transfers.

musicislife- oh **** i just looked at the transfer rates. hopefully one of them likes me now, because its now or never. but i’d definitely be cool with USC

Sikorsky- here i probably could have said it like this: there are some kids out there who don’t leave their room and have been working on these essays since 2007. they have some pro novelist scholar read their essays over for thousands of dollars. me? i started my common app essay today, it’s due next week (dec 1) for usc. hell yeah i have a character i can show, but i’m not about to lie and tell everyone yeah i’ll have the best essays at the ivies. they’d be pretty damn good for english class, at upper UCs , but at the ivies ehhhhhhhhh i don’t know
o and i don’t like safeties: i go all out or don’t go at all. i’ll have to find some other way to get **** done if i don’t get accepted

Finding good safeties–colleges that you like and you can afford–can be difficult. Your approach is definitely easier. Not very smart, but much easier.

I would suggest applying to USC, one to three of the other schools you listed (reaches), and then add some more matches and safeties.

community college is my safety

i love it (more than UC merced or some other excuse for a school) and can afford it
