I would highly appreciate responses from anyone.

I got a few b’s in freshman year

Other than that: All A’s

Your objective stat’s put you in the running. Being Asian/Indian will make it tougher. If you are international, tougher still. It will come down to the quality of your LoR’s, EC’s and essays and how your app presents you as a total package. BTW, all three of these schools are SCEA, none are ED.

Those are certainly what it comes down to. I am a unique case though. I am an different that every asian in my school and possibly in the whole state. My activities are not really academically related minus the economics; All of which is most likely why I don’t fit in with the asian group at my high school.

Please let me know on all your opinions.

Your chances are much higher than the generic chances for unhooked applicants. Your “true” probability is unknowable ex ante, especially because the adcoms do not disclose much about their true selection criteria. (Also, admissions is not a wholly stochastic process, although of course there will be random elements.)

In the recent past, unhooked candidates with your sorts of grades+scores enjoyed admit rates of between 25-50% at HYP. That you received your scores relatively early in your high school sequence is also a plus. All you can do is write the best application you can and hope for the best, but please do not listen to the many innumerate posters on here who will say that you face the same odds as any other unhooked kid or that the schools could “fill their classes” with perfect stats kids. Not even close.

Best of luck!

I do think that my massive improvement from my freshman year will go a long way in helping me get in.

What do you all think from an overall standpoint?

“EC: President of all the clubs I am involved in.”

Based on that statement, I guesstimate your chances for admission to Harvard, Yale & Princeton to be well less than one (1%) per cent.

@Publisher how come? I am well liked at my school, and I was willingly chosen for that position. I did several wonders with each club including winning nationals for one.

Quality over quantity.

How can you expect to be chanced for admission to the nation’s most selective universities when you make statements like “President of all the clubs I am involved in” & “Many activities economics related.” ?

Plus, top 20 out of 400 in your class isn’t going to wow Harvard, Yale or Princeton. Substance is important.

@Publisher I believe that I do indeed have quality more so than quantity. Just because I have many activities doesn’t mean that I didn’t accomplish anything.

But how would I know that ? You are the one who asked to be chanced, then offered a very poor presentation of your accomplishments.

Now knowing though of my high commitments, with all the details regardless of the club. What are my chances?

@ucbalumnus I did indeed check out your post. I certainly do feel like I am what these top-notch colleges are looking for. I believe I am a top candidate for all of the colleges’ economics programs.

@KingAJ Everyone says they are top-notch for the best colleges.
