Chance me for honors program please?

<p>What are my chances at getting into The honors program at northeastern? thank you!

GPA: 93 unweighted
My school does not weight GPAs and they do not rank
known for being one of the most prestigious public high schools in upstate New York
SAT: 2060 (710 CR 720 Math 630 Writing): Will be retaking should get in the 700s for writing and hopefully a higher math score as well, aiming for at least a 2130
SAT II: 720 US history 730 Math ll
ACT: 33 composite 9 writing (35M 33R 31E and S) will retake most likely</p>

<p>I don’t know about honors, its really hard to tell because it changes every year. Other than that I think you have a nice shot at getting in. I’d send your ACT scores, but both are fine really. As far as prestige of your school, I doubt it really matters, but Northeastern understands that all high schools are different, and if you don’t have a rank or whatever it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.</p>

<p>Thank you! Yeah it’s not a big deal, but I know that our school has an overall more rigorous curriculum than other schools in the area, so grades tend to be lower than they should be but thanks:)</p>

<p>You have great stats for getting into the university, but as far as SAT scores go, 25% of students have a score higher than 2130 (and honors is for the top 10%), so you should aim higher. However, I believe the 33 ACT might be in the top 10-25% already (25% of students have a score higher than 31).</p>

<p>Also, I heard a rumor that honors takes 10% from the top applicants into each <strong>school</strong>, meaning some majors may be difficult to get into as honors. AKA, I have no idea what the expectations are for honors :D</p>
