Thanks for chancing me, will chance back!

Good luck in your research paper or US physics thing. If u do well, ur prob. a walk-in at HYPSM.

bumppp 10 char

You’re actually a lot like myself  I am also in Illinois (though a year younger than you) and i have won awards for Sci Oly, ICTM, WYSE, etc as well. Believe it or not im also an AIME qualifier and Physics Semifinalist, haha! And if it isn’t creepy enough, i have the exact same SAT II scores as you…anyway, i think that with all your research and extra curriculars, and of course test scores, you’ve a great shot at Ivies. Your GPA is your weak point, but hopefully they will look past that. Good luck twin!

any insights are appreciated :)

You screwed your gpa and you dropped from soph to junior year not a great trend. Class rank/gpa will hold you back from HYPSM as they want the top students (unless there is a hook). What is your ethnicity? Asian would be even worse. You should have more matches though U Mich/U of I are solid schools.

Hi! the schools (Ivies, MIT, Stanford, etc.) up until U of I are reaches, with a few matches (like Cornell). Your GPA is weak, but your scores and extracurricular achievements make up for it. However, based on your awards (which are indeed impressive), it seems like you lack character outside of school-related subjects. That being said, one-sidedness isn’t bad, especially if you can publish your research into a highly respectable journal or make the Physics Team.

The other schools on your list from U of I down are low matches to safeties. Good luck, and please chance me back!
