With these in mind, what are my chances for HYPSM, especially Harvard SCEA?

Thanks very much.

All of them are reaches.
Do you need a financial aid? Do you have a back up plan? Why do you want to go to Harvard?

Usually i would say no chance for a person with a 32 act score, but your race with help you.

@Wizard09 - 32 is the 25% percentile at Harvard, which means 25% of Harvard students who took the ACT had a 32 or below. A 32 disqualifies no one at any of these schools, regardless of race. Obviously odds are better for those who score 35 or 36 on the ACT but this is only a small part of the application.

@fballislife - I’d say you have a chance at all of these schools if your application is strong (well written, excellent essays and recommendations).

@paul2752‌ thanks, I will need financial aid and most of my back ups are universities in the UK.

@BldrDad‌ thanks for the reply, my ACT is what I’m most worried about and I’m regretting not retaking.

@fballislife - if they suit you, you might also consider adding Dartmouth and Amherst to your list as they are need-blind for internationals and you may possibly offer you better odds than HYPSM. At the very least, you’ll increase your chances by applying to more schools.

I think you have a decent shot but international financial aid applicants are at quite a bit of a disadvantage
