@texaspg haha. Hopefully that wont happen.
Thank you.

Interesting mix of ECs and academics and you are really good
You have a very good shot towards all your school

Sorry, but I kind of sense a trolll… your stats seem suspicious but…

@jman123

I know what you’re talking about. The harvard trip was donated by friends of mine to cover the cost of airfare and hotel. At oxford I’m staying at a professors house and the airfare we did have to pay for. I covered most of the cost with my earnings teaching tennis and we paid for the rest. We got the flight for $1200. I sold the $700 apple gift card I won from Questbridge and that covered a ton. I’m not ■■■■■■■■ but it is true. My parents Have been unemployed for nearly 3 years now and Ive had to work harder because of it. Teaching tennis allows me to earn and my family has been living off of savings while they find a job.

if you are legit, you’ll get in for sure, considering your great achievements with your not so great conditions

If you are not ■■■■■■■■ then trust me your life’s achievements would make a great story that the Adcomms of top schools would love to read !

If you’re not ■■■■■■■■ I think you’ll make it. lol

but seriously, under 10000 salary?? you could make more working at mcdonalds?? sounds suspicious. P.S., that’s only 28 dollars a day. Both of your parents combine for only 28 dollars a day?? FYI, that’s almost 3rd world poverty level. ■■■■■??

Not ■■■■■■■■. When i say less than 10000, I mean 0. Our family has NO income. Period. Nothing. I make $20 an hour teaching tennis at our high school courts an I teach 5 hours a day. That’s MY income. My parents live off of our savings from before things went bad.

@collegebound9528

You could make more at mcdonalds, true. They are searching for jobs. But my parents hae been looking for jobs elsewhere. My mom used to write cookbooks as a living, my dad an insurance salesman. Being unemployed sucks!!! Have your parents ever been? I was pronounced legally dead at TWELVE so I have enough to deal with because of heart problems and my parents crying over the bills. This is a process that we are HELPING eachother with and I appreciate your support on our road to college. Thats why were on this forum: to help!! I am empathetic, and trust me I can understand how important life is to try your hardest to get into a great college.

If you need any advice or help I would be happy to. But lay off the comments. It means nothing to me compared to making it to tomorrow and getting the admissions decisions we both want.

5 hours per week sorry. I don’t do science research and tennis lessons on the same day

If you can write a good essay, I’d say you’re in.
But remember, any Ivy is a crapshoot.

@Mascara. Thanks

Wow! I think that your academic and athletic ECs are incredible and given your unusual circumstances you will defiantly be a strong applicant. Write strong emtonially stirring essays and you are golden. Good luck to you and your family! Btw are you planning on applying EA to Harvard?

holy moly @________@
that’s amazing…like legit, wow :O

like Mascara said, Ivy Leagues are a crapshoot…but you’ve basically just written your own ticket in…
i mean, your awards and recognition are amazing, not to mention the circumstances you’ve risen up against.
good luck :)

@sunnycagirl1234

Thank you. Harvard EA all the way!!! I’m a little nervous though because there’s no data to compare this year to. The last time they did it admission rate EA was 21% this year but I expect a HUGE amount of people applying who couldn’t previously do so. I also expect EA and ED percentages at other schools to go up due to fewer EA and ED applicants.

This process IS a crapshoot. I hope I get in!!

Your numbers are a tad low for top schools. If you raised your act a little you would be pretty solid. However your research should make up for that. I would say you have a good shot at Harvard (as long as they liked your speech). The same with the others. Like everyone is saying though, they are all crapshoots.
