Anyways, welcome to CC. The Ivies are reaches for you, and Harvard/Yale/Princeton are high reaches. Your ACT is okay, but your subject tests leave something to be desired. Your rank is also a bit of a hurt: 3/52 puts in in the 6th percentile. What’s you’re GPA? You have odd ECs too. Your competition, on the other hand, is a swarm of Asians who’ve done things I could only dream of. But go ahead; you only have one shot, so why hold back?</p>

<p>REALLY LOW CHANCE. That 3.4 GPA, ORM status, weak ECs, and weak Subject Tests are gonna kill you.</p>

<p>Orly83, way to be a d1ck. How about you try to put in some constructive criticism besides acting like a jerk.
I have no idea why everyone is shooting this guy down for the GPA. His ranking is decent and he hasn’t even given us the context of the school so no one can really judge. </p>

<p>However there are some notable weak points: EC’s are weak, Anime/Cosplay is interesting but not exactly the thing most colleges are looking at. Subject Tests seem way too easy considering your background (Math Level 1 is a joke, all Chinese get 800 on listening, take some thing more rigorous). I’d recommend you take Math Level 2 and a History/English subject test, seeing that you have strong standardized test scores. I don’t know what other schools your looking at but it would be smart to look into some more stat driven colleges. There are definitely schools that are a little below ivy prestige that you can get into.</p>

<p>Rank is all the context needed. It’s probably not enough (nor are scores) for HYP, but he’d have a shot at the others. They are all reaches though, not being top 2 and a very average (for ivies) ACT.</p>
