Hi, I'm currently a female, Asian/Caucasian high school sophomore who's trying to be proactive in the college admissions/scholarship areas. What are my chances at the Ivies, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Brown, Case Western, etc? Duke is currently my first choice.

I am generally a straight A student, save for math and my first B in English this marking period.

I take all Honors/PreAP/AP and plan to for the rest of my high school career.

I am in the most advanced route for math, being in Honors Trigonometry, a Senior course at my school. Last year in Algebra 2 Honors with the same teacher I got all Bs except for an A first marking period, and I got a B average. I got As on my midterm and final. This year, in the first marking period, I have a high C.

I took a practice PSAT/SAT at Sylvan over the summer (so with a freshman education) and got Reading: 540; Math: 540; Writing: 600. Official PSAT scores from this year have not arrived yet.

I used my Gifted Individual Education Placement plan and tested out of a computer class graduation requirement class over the summer last year (between 8th grade and freshman year) to get placed in a sophomore+ class Photoshop/Dreamweaver/HTML class. Through this, I gained 3 college credits to a reputable local university.

This upcoming summer, I plan to volunteer at my mom's work at a well-known cancer/melanoma research center. The center is headed by a world-renown doctor.

My awards include:

Freshman year:
