I think that is everything. Does being from CT help or hurt my chances? i heard it might. Anyhting you can tell me would be great thank you! i am very nervous about applying and i dont really like my safety school.
Thank you everyone!

Since Chapman is a private school, being from CT certainly won’t hurt your chances there. Your GPA is low compared to the admitted Chapman students’ average, SAT is a little low. Did you take the ACT? Chapman average there I think is 28.

Ok well I think I could easily improve my sat score. I was 100 points higher my second time around and I think there’s a lot of room for improvement considering I haven’t started studying till after the last time around. I will also possibly get my GPA up to 3.3. And I know it’s not that much of an improvement but still. And I also am the film guy for football which I forgot to say before. Do you think I have a chance at any three of these schools?

I think you have a good chance at all 3. Ct residence will help you at LMU and Chapman. Your class rank and APs indicates that your school probably has harder grading than most schools in California. I assume you are applying for film so that is a bit of a wild card with a portfolio requirement. If you can visit or show interest that would be great. Also, have GC call admissions and “introduce” the HS if there is no history of sending grads. Good Luck.

Thanks flyaround I’ve been stressing so much about this it’s nice to hear I have a chance. And why do you think my school is harder? My guidance counselor has said that my school looks good when I apply from it. Also you pointed out how the portfolio will be the wild card do you know how I can judge my standings talent wise? I consider myself a good writer but I’ve never compared myself to the hundreds of other kids applying for the same thing.
