I also shadowed an Engineer at Emerson-Copeland and researched compressors and their controls. Planning on doing a couple more research projects as well

One last note, my school is very poor and offers little opportunity, so I am trying to make the best of it.

Thanks!

anyone???

In at umich, solid chances at the others. Good luck

Thank you!

anyone else please?

Bump bump!!!

You should be fine at Umich, depending on your math subscore on the ACT.

As for the others, though, you’ll need to get your ACT score up. Significantly. Also consider taking the SAT instead, because the ACT just comes off as kind of trashy.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone else?

@ivyleaguer2400 What do you mean by “trashy”?

Anyone at all?

I disagree with the “trashy” comment, you really only need to take the ACT. A kid from my school got into Stanford with only the ACT…but he was the only one to get into Stanford in my schools 100 year history.

Thanks! Anyone else??

You have a great shot!
Keep it up!

Thank you!

Anyone else please?

Realistically, in the absence of any national/international math/science awards or serious demonstrated interest in the sciences, I just don’t see much chance at MIT or Caltech. Even at the least equipped schools one can compete in the AMC. Also, MIT does not allow internationals to apply early whether or not they are studying in the US.

Thanks for feedback!

I’m not applying international…I live in Ohio haha, and another question what do you mean by “serious” interest in the sciences?

Thanks!

Anyone else feel free to post!
