Please chance for University of Wisconsin

I just want to know if I even have a chance of getting?

@bboy219 hmm, actually im looking the college stats right now, and the 50th percent mark is a 1900 sat apprx. undecided might be slightly competitive, so this might be a low reach. gpa isnt strong either, so thats not a plus side. but u still have a chance i would say.

@toesockshoe even though on the website they currently state, “Admitted students will typically score between 27–30 on the ACT Plus Writing and 1810–2000 on the SAT” ?

but, if the site says that its the 1810-2000 average, then you should be fine. so that is the 50 percentile mark range for different majors. so the engineering median is probably 2000, and the humanities median is probably like 1810 (cause it is not as competitive). applying undeclared’s competition generally differs from school to school, but usually is is in the lower-middle so like an 1850 SAT would probably suffice. i wuold say u would be put in the middle, but ur GPA might hurt you. not too sure what the average gpa is for the school.

Maybe take an SAT II subject test to send to the college. If you do well, you can send this to the college in addition to your SAT score. This will help differentiate you from other students. If you’re worried about your SAT, you still have the opportunity to retake it. Otherwise, I think you’re set. Chance back?

Definitely try the SAT again or the ACT. I started with an 1850 on the SAT, went to a 2000 a few months later, then a 32 on the ACT, then a 33. It’s definitely possible for you to raise your score. Even if it’s by 50 points, it could make a huge difference. Let me know if you have any questions about raising your score, I can give you a few links to some threads that drastically helped my scores in a very short period of time.
