Chance Me for my schools

Your basically set for any non ivy league. Although not out of question its certainly a reach for Ivy.

Chance me?

Thanks guys! Ohheythere4, I am glad someone sees that I put a lot of time into a few meaningful things not like most people who do little in a lot of things!

Looks like you guys were right, I got into the University of Minnesota with a $6,250 scholarship! My first acceptance!!!

Congratulatsion! And do keep us updated :)

I think you have a great chance at all the UC schools. Stanford is a reach, but I think you can make it in granted you have great essays. Your ECs are great! I also think a good hook is your ethnicity. Good luck!

It all looks really good. I’d say that they all look like good matches. Stanford seems like a reach but I think it all looks good besides that. Mines is a really beautiful campus. a couple of my friends went there with 29’s and 30’s on the ACT and around 4.0+GPA’s went there and he was one of the only college bound people in my family. They’re an engineering school, I believe that it would be a good match for you. Everything else looks like a good match

Chance me back?

Unfortunately with the new UC policy it is not a hook being considered Asian… It hurts almost

You did not mention your unweighted GPA. I think this is essential in understanding the context of your grades… I think UCB , UCLA, Stanford, and Northwestern are all reaches, but the rest of the schools you’ve listed you could feasibly get into.

the majority of those colleges will most likely accept you, you’re a good match for most of them. ucb and ucla are not that much of a stress if you work hard to get your gpa up. getting all As this year will do wonders. stanford is a bit of a reach i can’t really say

3.86 unweighted GPA

yea than i really can’t put in any input on stanford. stanford is an unpredictable beast

Yep I just applied for the heck of it. I am well aware that I am not getting in but you never know really know.

I was wondering how much having a cousin who went and graduated from Stanford helps? She is well known and was their key note speaker for their Baccalaureate ceremony last year.

i chanced you already but would you mind chancing my cousin

UCLA: low match
UC San Diego: match

I don’t know about the other schools. Sorry!

Thanks for chancing me!

UCB is a higher match.

Thanks for your opinions!!! Will chance back leave link!

I’m applying to UT Austin as well and it’s always hard to tell whether you’re going to get in from OOS because of the 7% class rank system for IS applicants.

Also, UT does not superscore for the ACT and will only look at your best score from one sitting (info from here: [Testing & Test Scores | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/freshmen/admission/testing)). Since OOS is so competitive, OOS applicants scores have a higher average than IS applicants, averaging at a 30 ACT and 1946 SAT (info from here: [2013 SAT/ACT Scores | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/scores)). The most recent link also tells you the average SAT and ACT scores for each college within UT Austin.

Here are some more stats for OOS students: [Out-of-State Students | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/outofstate).

Hopefully these links will help you get a feel for your admissions chances! Best of luck! :)
