GPA: 3.98 Unweighted

Great ECs (Not harvard level but volunteering, sports, leadership, internship)
Great common app essay and good Rochester freezing temperatures essay (imo).
I don’t know how much geographic diversity helps but I’m from Washington state.
I’m also not a US citizen, (permanent resident). I hold Israeli citizenship (I know at some schools this helps, some it doesn’t)
I take all college classes with a 3.95 college GPA.
I did, however, get 2 B’s this quarter, one B- in Calc 3 and a B in engineering physics. I’m only taking 3 classes so my GPA was a 3.2. I did get an A in English. But Idk if they will look at my grades because my school is on the semester system and sends mid year reports in late January. Anyway let’s just pretend that they do look at first quarter grades. Will this negatively affect me? Or will they see that I am taking difficult classes. I previously got only A’s in Calc and Physics.
My curriculum is challenging and I would have finished Calc 4 (Vector Calc) by the end of this year and I will have my associates degree by the end of this year.
Thank you!
you’re deff in
No one can say for certain, of course, but based upon what I’m reading here I’d like you if I were in admissions.
As a parent and science/math person I’d recommend you repeat the Calc/Physics classes you took this year if you don’t feel really solid in them (and are heading that way for a major). It would give you a better foundation… it’s working knowledge that counts, not an associates degree or passing the class. Of course, if you’re heading toward a different major, it won’t matter… so this last parental bit would be moot.
