I am a white female going into my senior year at a public school in Florida. I have had a pretty heavy courseload.. only a few AP courses but almost all honors and 4 Dual Enrollment classes at the local community college every semester. I have a 4.538 (weighted) and 3.899 (unweighted) GPA. I am ranked 18/450 in my class (top 4%).

For my SAT, which I took twice and scored higher the second time: critical reading- 760 math- 660 and writing- 610. For my ACT, I have only taken it once and got: reading- 32 math- 24 writing- 31 and science- 32. (I know my math is a little low for the ACT so I was also wondering if I should retake it?)

My extra curriculars include having 2 jobs (A pet store, and Moe's) for 2 years, varsity cheerleading for 3 years (captain this year), volunteering at relay for life every year for the past 4 years, cheerleading coach for little league for 3 years, and toys for tots and school supplies for children every year for the past 4 years.

I have heard that NC has an 18% cap at how many oos students they can accept so I was just wondering if it was very difficult for a student like me to get accepted! Also, since I live in Florida I am obviously considering the top FL schools but they don't have as good of engineering programs as NC State. I appreciate any info you have :) Thank you so much!
