Chance me for Newhouse @ Syracuse?

Hello!

Newhouse is my absolute dream school, and it has been for years now. I will be graduating in 2015 (next year), and I will be sending Syracuse my application this fall. I was wondering if it sounds like I have a decent chance of being accepted, knowing that it is an extremely competitive school. I plan on majoring in broadcasting.

I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA, 4.2 weighted.
1770 SAT, testing isnt my thing:(
I am the broadcaster for my schools television show, for all 4 years.
I currently have an internship at my countys television station.
I have an award for the most outstanding television production student at my school.
I will have taken a total of 5 AP classes by the time I graduate and I have taken almost all honors classes.
I have had a job at Wegmans (a well known grocery store) for 2 years.
I have 260+ volunteer hours
I have played Field Hockey for all 4 years and will be a captain next year.
I have participated in many other EC's including theatre, boys sports management, class council, fundraisers, and SGA.
Part of the National Honor Society.
Going in for an interview this fall.

I live in Maryland and I go to an average competitive public high school.

I am hoping i have some sort of a chance!
Thank you for your help!

Newhouse seems like a reach with the SAT. Try to bring it up to at least a 1900. Perhaps take the ACT. Everything is fine but the SAT

I think it’s a bit of a reach given your SAT.
For point of reference, my S was accepted ED to Newhouse with a 3.4 BUT with a 2250 and with more substantial EC’s.
