Hi everyone! I'm a currently a junior in high school and I wanted to know if I'm on track to potentially get accepted into Newhouse. I really interested in the communications field, with a concentration on advertising and possibly public relations. I feel like Newhouse would be the right place for me but from what I've read on here, it seems very hard to get into.

So far, my stats are pretty good. I've been a straight A student all of high school. As a freshman, I took honors biology. As a sophomore, I took an accelerated English (fairly positive that this does not factor into weighted grades) course. This year I am taking honors English and AP US History. Next year I will be taking four APs: physics, English language, calculus AB, and macroeconomics. After this year, I'll have taken three years of French and after senior year, I'll have taken four years of math, english, and science. I would take AP French but I don't know if I should take on the course load of five APs (if you think I should take it, please tell me!).

I took the SATs in December and I got a combined score of 1920. Writing - 620, Critical Reading - 600, and Math - 700.

This is the area I believe I am lacking in: extracurriculars, which I know are very very important. I've been on my school's badminton team for three years (four years including senior year) and I plan on being a captain next year. I participated in Key Club last year. This is pretty much it, and if you have any suggestions in how I can boost this area during my senior year, please give me suggestions!

Thank you for your time and consideration!!!!!!
