I'd like to get into Newhouse, although I do understand the difficulty of doing so. I'm only entering my junior year.

GPA: 3.82 (3.7 on 4.0 scale)

One AP course, will take four in total in high school. I have taken five honors courses total in my first two years, and am taking two more this year. I will also have taken four years of Spanish when I graduate.

I will have 100+ hours volunteering at my local hospital, I do 2 clubs at school (one being an environmental club and the other being one to help the needy), I write for my school newspaper and will have taken 3 years of journalism along with a public speaking class, I play tennis for the school and help manage the girls' tennis team, umpire for my local little league, and will be applying for National Honors Society this fall.

If I can get even better grades this year (hopefully a 4.0), do I have a shot? Also, what SAT scores would be necessary?

Thank you very much. I have a dream of going into broadcast journalism, and I feel Syracuse is the place for me.
