Good teacher recs from my business teacher and others, all mentioning my entrepreneurial mindset and passion and initiative

Well written essay

I know my strong suit for business is that I am not afraid to die on a treadmill. There may be people smarter than me, more talented than me, probably MUCH better looking that me, but if we get on that treadmill together, there are 2 things that will happen. He will either get off first, of I am going to die. Period. No questions asked.

Just like when Fed-Ex begun as a college essay where Frederick's (Founder) college professor gave him a C- because it was "not feasible and took too much startup" or when Colonel Sanders from KFC took his last $100 from his SOCIAL SECURITY check and gambled it all on fried chicken, I think that the tenacity to get up on that 8th, 9th, and 10th try will hopefully allow me to succeed. I hope colleges can see that without an interview lol xD

With all that said, please chance me for NYU (stern) Early decision and also these schools if you want: (NYU is my #1 choice however)

BTW: I already got into Texas A&M so I have a safety, business school is ranked #33 in nation. Everything under here is just stuff higher.

Carnegie Mellon
University of Chicago
Columbia
Cornell
Notre Dame
Emory
University of Pennsylvania
Harvard
Yale
Northwestern

You should get into cas, bur IDK about Stern.

If you raise your SAT score to around 2150, Stern will be a match!!!

Chance me back plz
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1009874-chance-mediocre-student-canada.html

For those of you who are curious about Kizag, Craigslist has never had any MAJOR competition, but will in a few months (Tee hee!). Domain name is already secured and company named is filed. I will be filing for a LLC (Limited Liability Company) when we start earning income. (LLC are a pain in the ass because you need to file through your state, not county clerk)

Your academics are pretty good but your Excs seem pretty awesome to me. I think you have a chance at all of them if you really emphasize the time and hard work that went into your business. Nyu should be pretty good chance in my opinion. Good luck!

You’re obviously very passionate about business (I’m also involved in FBLA). I think the fact that you have been so successful with your EC’s, starting your own very legitimate business etc., will look incredible on your app. You look like a good shot for Stern or UPenn

You seem good for nyu and probably tepper but the rest are just hard to get into from what I’ve hard, but your ec’s are pretty awesome lol. Chance me back, hoping for nyu ed too.

While your SAT score may be a little lacking, you have a great GPA and very unique ECs. I’m not an admission officer but I’ll give it my best shot!

NYU Stern ED: Low Reach
Carnegie Mellon: High Match
University of Chicago: Low Reach
Columbia: Reach
Cornell: (What college?) Reach/Low Reach
Notre Dame: High Match
Emory: High Match
University of Pennsylvania: (Wharton?) Reach/Low Reach
Harvard: High Reach/Reach
Yale: High Reach/Reach
Northwestern: High Match

I honestly think that if you raised your SAT score, you would be an extremely strong candidate at all the schools on your list including Stern. However, since you have already submitted your application with a 2010, Stern would be a low reach (or high match). I am not familiar with how Stern weighs ECs, but your passion in business will definitely take you a long way when applying! Overall, I would not be surprised if you got in.

Best of luck!

Chance me back? : )
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1004303-chance-me-chocolate-chip-cookie.html

Bump!!!

Good chance of acceptance at NYU.
Canegie Mellon, very good chance.
U of C, match to slight reach.
Columbia, medium to high reach.
Cornell, medium reach.
Notre Dame, match.
Wharton, match to slight reach.
Harvard and Yale, very high reaches.

Good luck, I really do think you’ll get into NYU. Especially if your high school is as well ranked as you say it is! Kind of off topic, but what do you think you’d do in the world of business after college?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1009846-chance-ed-smith.html

If you aren’t familiar with the colleges though, it’s fine if you don’t chance back.

I will be doing Startups until I succeed. When and IF I do, I’ll become a venture capitalist :P

sounds good but is your gpa weighted or unweighted?
the fact that you are a founder of a club is pretty awesome tho (:
Chance me too please!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1009820-chances-unc-chapel-hill-nc-state-wake-forest-emory-ill-chance-back.html

Looks good, bro. Especially already having some kind of business. Maybe I’ll see you around campus :stuck_out_tongue: Haha.
Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1010853-chance-me-senior-ill-chance-back.html

Those EC’s are impressive. I cannot imagine an applicant like you being rejected from Stern. Good luck!

Wow, very impressive ecs! Just write an amazing essay and have good teacher recs. You should have very good chances with those schools! Best of luck and chance me back!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1006168-chance-me-please.html#post1065663378

Bump! Thx for all the responses!

Bump! RAWRRRRRRRRRRRR HELP CHANCE ME! :D

Since you said NYU ED, I’ll look into that one only for now =P

If I have time I’ll post full prediction.

Your SAT could use some work; it is below average for students who are applying to competitive schools. However, with that aside, your ECs are very unique, very solid, and shows your leadership very well. If it wasn’t for SAT, then I would say Match/High Match. However, since you’ve submitted your application already, I guess I can’t say that now.

High Match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1008044-chances-me.html

I don’t get it, why are you all saying that it will be harder because of the 2010 SAT? He has a 32 ACT which converts to approx. a 2160 on the SAT (atleast I think it does).

But you have awesome ECs I wouldnt be surprised if you got in to a majority of your schools  Good Luck!!! :)

you def have a good chance at NYU ED! your ECs are amazing, and your academic stats are great too! =) as for the others…
Carnegie Mellon-low reach
University of Chicago-low reach
Columbia-high reach
Cornell-reach
Notre Dame-high match/low reach
Emory-high math/low reach
University of Pennsylvania-reach
Harvard-high reach
Yale-high reach
Northwestern-high match/low reach

goood luck, chance me back! =)

TY all for the response!
