Good ECs, wouldn’t hurt to apply

Thanks! Ive applied to all of them… Now the wait!

You didn’t put computer classes, correct? It’s not an EC. EC stands for “extracurricular” meaning outside of a teaching environment. I’m not being rude, but I actually disagree with @collegeboundrxn1, I think your ECs are quite weak. There’s nothing that stands out, there’s so many people that do internships and you haven’t listed any leadership opportunities.

You have competitive stats, good EC’s but i agree with @ab2002 that on-line computer courses are not an EC. If they are all affordable (meaning fully pay at NYU and UC Berkeley), then you stand a good chance at an acceptance.

Internships are really good. Your weighted GPA is higher than NYU’s and your SAT is above average. You have a really good chance, NYU looks heavily at the essay though. Umm, I did list it as an EC @ab2002 and @Gumbymom … I didn’t know about it. How much do you think that will hurt me? And yes, I would fully pay for NYU and UC Berkeley.

@“Pakshal Mehta” I don’t think it will damage your app, they might just overlook it to be honest.
