Hello,

I'm a senior right now and plan on applying to Penn State.

UW GPA: 3.6
W GPA: 4.0
All honors and AP classes (except math because at the stupid private school I went to they wouldn't let me go into higher level math, but now I'm in Honors Calc. and acing it..shows them).

Extracurriculars:

Honor Societies:
National Honor Society
Spanish National Honor Society
English National Honor Society

Leadership positions:
Astronomy club (President 2011-2012)

Other:
Science Olympiads

Main interests:
Fingerstyle guitar (composer)
Classical piano
Art (I love drawing)
Being an autodidact (I taught myself Calculus in 10th grade)

Service hours:
I will have 100+ hours of volunteering in a nursing home, being an actor for a haunted house, and volunteering at a woodshop with my friend.

SAT:
I will get my scores back this month. I don't think I did too well but my ultimate goal is to get a 2100.
I really f-ed up the ACT in June (21) but I didn't send that score to any colleges or to my high school. I made sure it only went to my home address because I was sick as hell that day and couldn't think straight.

I can write a killer essay!!!

Thanks,
Brooke

bump please! lol

GPA is slightly above average. If you get a 2100 on SATs, you have a great chance. PSU does not care about extracurriculars or any of that other stuff. For them, 2/3 of the admission decision is based on GPA, and the remaining 1/3 is on SAT or ACT. I’d say you can probably get in.

Awesome! thank you!!! Anyone else have any input? :)
