I am currently a Junior and I am thinking that I will apply to Penn ED as of right now. Of course things change, but after my visit I realized that I love it and I might as well try.

*First I'd like to point out that I go to a school with very limited opportunities so I am taking the highest classes available to me, except for in math. Though I am "behind" in math, it isn't my intended major. I also still in honors math classes and in the math honors society at my school.

Intended Major: Criminology with Journalistic Writing or International Affairs/Relations Minor
State: Tennessee
Income Bracket: about $120,000

ACT: Composite 32 (30 Math, 30 Science, 35 Reading, 36 English)

Junior Year Courses: We have a lot of required courses. Outside of that, I have taken Honors Spanish 3, Honors Anatomy, Honors Algebra 2, and Dual Enrollment U.S. History.

Senior Year Courses: AP English and AP Bio (only APs offered), Honors Spanish 4, Honors Pre-Cal, and a bunch of dumb graduation requirements.

Extra Curriculars: Varsity Cheerleading (4 Years), Community Service Club (4 Years): I have been really involved in this and am very proud of the work I've done with it since it started, Junior Class Treasurer, Student Council Treasurer (1 year), Sr. Beta Treasurer (1 year), competitive Youth Leadership local program, and some others I've done for fun and probably aren't notable, 3rd Place in a Forensic Science Fair with a research project I did with a professor at a local university

Summer Activities: Forensic Science Camp/Competition (4 Years: Placing 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd so far. Aiming for 1st this year), 2 Online Dual Enrollment courses: Introduction to Criminal Justice and Introduction to Journalism, 1 Dual Enrollment Course on a local campus: Introduction to Psych, and the Pre-College Program at Emory University where I took a non-credit course in Abnormal Psych, 2 trips to Europe through school programs, a few semi-local community service week long trips with my church, volunteering with Read to Succeed: a local non-profit.

I think my recs will be good. Very close to my guidance counselor, the one benefit of a tiny school. One most likely from my AP Bio/Honors Anatomy teacher who knows me well and is familiar with my research. The other from my 10th grade geometry teacher who knows me semi-well and has seen the work I have put into my ACT math score. Possibly another from my English teacher from this year and next year? I can't decide because he doesn't know me well outside of the classroom.

Please be honest and offer advice on things I can do to improve! I would also appreciate it if you could point out my strengths and weaknesses. Thank you!
