What is the point? Look at US news, they give you a good idea of the average SAT and rank of admitted applicants. I think you switched your weighted/unweighted GPA's though.

-VAZ

Yeah, I did switch my GPAs. Thanks. Does anyone else have any input on my chances?

You look like you'd be a pretty strong applicant! Your scores are in their top ranges and you should definitely apply. But, then again, when there are many qualified applicants admissions decisions seem to become quite arbitrary : (

RoyleMoyle, you are a very good candidate for WashU. WashU accepts alot of applicants just like you, but also waitlists alot just like you. One important thing is to show them that you are seriously interested in attending. Have you visited the school? Have you met with the local representative?..etc.

I have heard that expressed interest in very important with WUSTL. I have an interview scheduled for this weekend. Other than flying from Los Angeles to St. Louis, what else can I do? Would writing an email asking specific questions while simultaneously expressing interest help at all?

Its best to make your presence felt. Try mailing them a couple of times or just calling them to ask some general questions regarding Wash U. It always helps to keep in touch with the college, just make sure not to overdo it! By the way all your 'vital' stats seem to be great. For me, you're in:)

maybe this question is cliche, but how does calling and emailing them frequently ( not overdoing it obviously) help one show their interests?

it's not like they are gonna keep track of who called and emailed and later notice and use the record for the admission decision. i might be wrong . plz somebody correct me~

When I attended WashU over the summer for classes we had an info sesion with an admissions officer. They told us that every time we call them it is automatically entered into some kind of database. I'm not sure how they do it, but they said it's one way of keeping track of students who "show interest". I'm not sure how they'd have time to go through databases with the amount of applications they receive, but they claim to keep track.
