Chances

I know people are sick of these posts, but Wash U is my first choice school. I am applying RD only becuase I have a good shot at getting a scholarship from another one of my top schools, but Wash U is where I want to be.

Here are my stats:
2/25
3.95 unwieghted GPA
720-Math, 680-Writing, 680-Verbal
670-Math 2, 690-Math 1, 690-Biology
I got fours on both AP US History and AP Biology (the only AP classes that Juniors could take)
This year I am taking AP Spanish, AP English, and AP AB Calculus
very good EC- president of clubs, many youth group positions, active choir member, Sunday School teacher
very good recs from Math and English teacher
good counselor rec

I have also heard that you have a better chance of getting in if you apply for all possible scholarships.

Any help would be great.

you're a failure and won't get in anywhere

wow alicia i can't believe you even think you're GOING to college BAHAHAHAH

I dont know...those SAT's seem a little low. I actually just barely got in as a transfer student and I had:

800 Math SAT1
630 Verbal SAT1
800 Math 2C SAT2
780 Math 1C SAT2
800 Physics SAT2
670 Writing SAT2

Good luck to you, but they are really concentrating hard on SAT scores this year for freshmen. But everything else sounds pretty good on your record.

how do u know u BARELY got in?

What they lookm at for transfer students is probably different than what they look at for incoming freshman. I know my SATs are a little low, but they claim that they look at the transcript the most

Your M+V SATs are a little weak for WashU. Median for admitted freshman is 1435, though 25th to 75th percentile is 1350 to 1520, so you're in the ball park. Your grades look good. Ditto class rank and ECs. These should help. I'd say you have a 50% chance. Celebrate if you get in, but don't be surprised if you don't.
