Hi I am a senior in HS from Texas who recently applied ED to Rice University for admission into fall 2021 class. I was wondering what my chances were of getting accepted. Any input is appreciated.
GPA: UW- 3.98/4.0, W- 5.357/6.0
SAT score: 1460 (M- 750, EBRW- 710)
I was only able to take the test once due to COVID-19.
Activities:
-Co-founder and director of a nonprofit tutoring organization (featured in numerous blog posts and articles)
-VP of the American Red Cross club at my school
-Obtained CNA certification through school’s Health Science 2 Program and had over 45 clinical hours worked in nursing homes and hospitals
-Junior Volunteer for Medical City McKinney over the summer (worked in 6 parts of the hospital- completed 75+ hours of service)
-Conducting research under the Mentorship of a research assistant professor at UIC through a selective Independent Study program at my school
-HS ambassador for NBCF
-NHS and community tutor
-Library Aide
-Logistics Coordinator for one of my friend’s startup
-Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Students of the Year Fundraising member
-Youth Mentor at religious organization
I think I got strong LORs and fairly good supplementals. I also did a senior interview with Rice in October.
Do you think I have a strong chance of getting in? Please let me know I am freaking out.
