I’m pretty confident I’ll get into LSA but not too sure about Ross Preferred Admit. I have no hooks to the University but I’ve visited twice over the past 4 years all the way from GA so I think I’ve shown a lot interest. Michigan has been my dream school throughout high school and I’m really anxious waiting for my decisions.

Why are you even asking this. You are amazing. If Michigan does not want you, then any top college will. Ross is hard to get into, but they really cannot reject that many 35C ACT and 3.9 GPA students with an internship and a company contract.

Thanks but I’m worried because my school is very competitive and my class rank isn’t really the best.

65/527 to be exact

Really good… your rank won’t matter that much with the ACT, difficult course load. advanced math, and entrepreneurial / research experience. How many HS students are dual enrolled at GT? - that is a serious school.

yeah, you should be fine. Many schools don’t weight rank as heavily now due to majority of high schools dropping the ranking system.

LSA should be a high match, not sure in, due to GPA and from OOS. The OOS amission rate is 20% this year. Ross is always a reach but not necessaily the highest stat kids are accepted.

You should not be confident about getting into LSA…not as an OOS, non-URM applicant. The admit rate for applicants such as you is well under 20%. You have strong academic and non-academic credentials, but so do tens of thousands of applicants (literally), many of which will not be admitted.

That being said, you have a good shot at getting in (strong match). As for Ross, I like your work experience and think you also have a solid shot, if admitted into LSA.

Thank you very much for the responses. And yeah, @Alexandre the nerves are starting to kick in and I really do hope I get in to LSA bc U of M has been my top school forever. I just wish OOS wasn’t based on chance so much.

@TooOld4School I think there are almost 80-90 dual enrolled at Georgia Tech from across the state. They started the Dual Enrollment course for kids who take AP Calculus in their junior year and have exceeded in it. I believe they accept around 40% of the high school kids who apply for it.

As an OOS student with a great gpa, 240 psat, 35 ACT, 11 AP courses, and dual enrollment you have the best chance out of anyone applying.
