Hey, I'm going to be a senior this year, and I've been trying to decide on what colleges I should apply to. I'm having a hard time picking which ones my top colleges will be, but I'd like to get a chance for any of these schools. I know my test scores arent the greatest, but I might retake the ACT, and I've been very active around school, so I think that might bring me up a bit.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions on colleges I should look at or any advice, please do comment! I would love to have some advice in my college search!

AP's I took or plan on taking: AP Gov. (5), AP Lang, AP Environmental Science, AP Calc BC, AP Psychology, might self-study for AP Comp. Science, AP Micro, or AP Stats since my school does not offer them.

Colleges I've Looked Into:
University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign
NYU
Upenn (wharton)
Penn State
NIU (northern illinois)

Those are the only colleges I really have looked into at all, I know Upenn is an extremely far stretch for me, but still am going to apply. I'm not too into huge schools which is why U of I i wasnt too sure about, but I know the school offers a lot of great programs.

I'm looking into majoring in Accounting or maybe even Actuarial Science, but I heard the exams are crazy hard and actuaries tend to have no lives, which I'm not so sure is accurate advice, but I've heard that a lot, so I dont know.

I'm into the whole business and math related fields, so any advice on possible stable majors that pay well in those areas is also welcome =)

Also, do you think it would make admission to colleges and scholarships easier if I majored in actuarial science since it is a field that not many people go into, especially females? Also, if anyone knows, is it absoloutely required to pass all of the actuarial exams to be considered an actuary?

Thank you!
