UCSB: Low Reach
SCU/Chapman: High Match

bump

The only college is UCSB, which I think is a low reach due to the low GPA, but you have a pretty good shot

Like the others have said, your GPA and SAT lag just a bit below the average stats. However, UCSB (that’s the one I’m talking about, sorry) is known to be holistic (or at least, from what I have gathered), so a strong personal statement/essays with a good/great hook may get you in.

Also, make sure to keep on top of your EC’s and volunteering, and all that jazz. UCSB is a very proactive school, so they want that reflected in their student body.

@krillin1 Thanks for your answer. What do you mean by “the only college is UCSB?”

@NotYetEngineer‌ Thanks, but how am I looking for SCU and Chapman? UCSB would be the third of those schoos on my “top” list.

Your GPA/SAT is low for chapman. If you can pay 70k a year then I wouldn’t worry though. Write good essays and you will have a chance.

Sorry I meant the only college that I am familiar with*. Sorry.

Have you run the NPC’s (net price calculators) at Chapman and SCU? SCU, in particular, is known to be horrible for lower-income families, and pretty bad for middle-income families.
Beside UCSB, you should look into Cal Poly SLO Orfalea, UCI, LMU - and run the NPCs for each.
