<p>Like the others have said, your GPA and SAT lag just a bit below the average stats. However, UCSB (that’s the one I’m talking about, sorry) is known to be holistic (or at least, from what I have gathered), so a strong personal statement/essays with a good/great hook may get you in. </p>
<p>Also, make sure to keep on top of your EC’s and volunteering, and all that jazz. UCSB is a very proactive school, so they want that reflected in their student body. </p>
<p>Have you run the NPC’s (net price calculators) at Chapman and SCU? SCU, in particular, is known to be horrible for lower-income families, and pretty bad for middle-income families.
Beside UCSB, you should look into Cal Poly SLO Orfalea, UCI, LMU - and run the NPCs for each.</p>
