<p>Hey everyone! It would be really cool if you could take a look and give me a chance! I will chance back ASAP!</p>

<p>Ethnicity: White
Region: Michigan
Sex: Female
Religion: Methodist (will this hurt/help my app?)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.99 (My school doesn't weight)
Rank: We aren't ranked until senior year but I would say top 5% at least
ACT: english: 31; math: 29; composite: 30 (I am retaking it in June)
SAT: english: 700; math: 680; writing: 670 total: 2050 (I'm also retaking this in June)</p>

<p>Schedule: The most challenging offered at my school</p>

<p>Intended Major:
I am thinking something along the lines of marketing/advertising. I also have interest in studying psychology then going on to law school. But overall I am still unsure.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Teaching sunday school to 4 yrs- preschool (this year and next)
Vacation Bible School- I have helped every year since age 12
Serving meals at the local homeless center once a month through my church
Orientation Guide for incoming 9th graders (I applied to be on the leadership committee in charge and am pretty sure i'll get in)</p>

<p>Job:
I clean a jewelry store and have for all of HS (summer and during the school year)
I work at Diary Queen (10 hours a week during school)</p>

<p>Sports:
Crew- 2 seasons as a freshman and 1 as a sophomore
Ski racing team (varsity)- Newly formed this year and will be on it next year
I have been skiing since i was 4 and learned to snowboard this year (snow sports are my passion )</p>

<p>Clubs:
NHS- inducted as a sophomore
French Club (treasurer) - every year in hs. I will be running for pres next year
Key club- this year and next
One Child at a Time (Founder/President): Raises money to sponsor children in impoverished countries</p>

<p>APs:
This year: Chem and English (2 of the 3 available for juniors) I will test on both
Next year: Physics, AB Calc, French, Humanities (basically art history)</p>

<p>Honors:
I made it to the local level of the chem Olympiad
Waiting for National French Exam results</p>

<p>Other info:
I will be taking part in a mentoring program next year called trailblazers where seniors go to local elementary schools for an hour every day</p>

<p>I am working to get a program started at my school called Reaching Higher. It is basically a program on self empowerment. I am really passionate about this cause. I will probably start a booster club of sorts for this program or just fund raise on my own.</p>

<p>Personal stuff:
I have struggled with and pretty much overcome Sensory Integration Disorder (its an autism spectrum disorder) and I was wondering if I should include this somehow. I feel like its an important part of who I am today but I don't want to be seen as mentally handicapped in any way or like any kind of sympathy case.</p>

<p>Schools:
Notre Dame (1st choice)
University of Chicago
Northwestern
University of Michigan </p>

<p>Any suggestions of Midwest schools that would be a good fit for me? Any schools that would make good safeties for me?</p>

<p>Stay away from the autism stuff. Nobody cares about your religion. If your school doesn’t weight how does a 3.99 gpa equate to only top 5%? </p>

<p>You look on track for Michigan and ND. Need higher test scores for Northwestern and Chicago.</p>

<p>I only said top 5% cuz I wasn’t really all that sure and didn’t want to overestimate. I reality I’m probably top 2%</p>

<p>All kidding aside, probably do this, will do that. Why don’t you tell us just what you actually did?</p>

<p>Grocery list. Dump the clutter and show stuff that actually matters.
I don’t see Chicago and NW.</p>

<p>Test scores are not very good, but I’d say you have a pretty decent chance for ND and Michigan (matches) but NW and Chicago are both mid reaches.</p>

<p>You’ll definitely get into University of Michigan. Notre Dame is a close call. Northwestern and University of Chicago, you’ll definitely need to get those test scores up to get into them. </p>
