Chance me for some UC schools + UW?

Hello everyone!

I am a rising senior and I was wondering if you could chance me for some of the schools I'm thinking about applying to? I'm still a little unsure on my major, because I don't know if I want to go into medicine in the future or not (If I am, I'm going to apply for an easier major and if not then I'll probably apply for Chemistry or Biology).

My GPA isn't stellar, because I started off poorly from freshman year all the way to half of my sophomore year. For the second half of my sophomore year and all of my junior year, I was able to get near 4.0's. I do have an increasing exponential grade trend that I plan on carrying up until the end of my senior year. I also had a C+ and C in my Algebra I and Physics 2 Honors classes. I didn't take my Algebra I class seriously and I took the Physics class too early and it was right after I had a bad experience in my Algebra I class.

I've only taken two AP classes (Chemistry and Chinese) along with a University of Washington Earth Space Science 101 course (got a 3.8 in the class) and three honors classes: English 10, Chemistry 2 and Physics 2. The AP scores have not come out yet, but I will post my scores in this thread on July 5th.

I also had an accident in the second semester of my junior year, causing me to miss some class and dropping out of tennis for the season. During that time, I worked on a club constitution for a future Chemistry club with my friend.

GPA UW: 3.692
GPA W: 3.885

SAT First Time:
CR: 550
M: 690
W: 690 (67 MC, 9 Essay)
NOTE: I plan on retaking this in October!

SAT II:
Chemistry: 670
NOTE: I will be taking Math lvl 1 in November (I have yet to take precalc). I'm also debating whether if I should retake Chemistry, because I did not prepare myself at all for this test and I didn't even know that we couldn't use a calculator)

Extracurricular:
VA Hospital Volunteer -- Sophomore year: 146 hours, Junior Year: has yet to be calculated
Job at Baskin Robbins (Just got hired)
Chemistry Club Co-founder and Vice President
Senior Service Club
Tennis JV3 (sophomore) --> JV2 (junior, but then I had to drop out due to my accident & never received credit)
Key Club Volunteer
Member of Science Club
National Honor Society

My schedule for Senior Year is as follows:

AP Environmental Science
AP Biology
Precalculus
AP Psychology
English 12 Honors
AP Comparative Government

I know I'm not a stellar student, but here is a rough idea of my college list:

University of Washington -- Seattle (I'm in-state)
UC Berkeley
UCSD
UCLA
UCSB
MIT <-- I know this is an extreme reach

If I could get input on my college choices that would be very much appreciated. :) Thank you in advance!

(Also, what do you think my target SAT score should be for these colleges?)

Isn’t UCSF only graduate schools?
UCB and UCLA are reach because of SAT score
UCSB is high match
Washington is match
Can you pay full to UC’s?

Nice ECs. You have a competitive edge to get into those schools.

Chance mine if you can

@BusinessInsider - Yes, you’re correct! I meant to type UCSD. Thank you for your insight, I’ll try to raise my SAT score this fall.

@HapyPilot94 - Thank you for the input! I will take a look at your thread. :)

University of Washington - match/slight reach
UC Berkeley - reach
UCSD - reach
UCLA - reach
UCSB - slight reach
MIT - Extreme reach, as you said.

A score of 2000 will help you get into UCSB, UW, and UCSD mainly. A score of 2100 will bring the rest (aside from berkeley and MIT) into reach for you!

good luck!

please chance me back!
