Any replies on the hours situation?

I’m kind of at the same issue, with 30 hours a week. I look at it this way, if I say 36, that’s just seems unreal even if it’s true because that would mean you’d be spending about 5 hours (counting weekends) a day on extracurriculars, not counting school, sleep, eating, etc. But on the other hand, you actually did the time, why not at least credit yourself with it? 5 hours is a large amount of time, but not necessarily impossible, and I think your honesty and sincerity will shine through in your application.

One note though - when you mention talking to all these famous people, make sure to stress what you did to talk with them and maybe how they influenced you - don’t just name drop and consider it an achievement. I’m sure you already knew this though =)

Good luck in your applications.

Thanks a lot for the advice, ezpzlemon. It means a lot. And sorry for this reply being late (though I’m sure that’s an understatement).

Respect

you’re getting in.

Could you please tell us where you were accepted?

Nowhere yet in the USA. So far accepted to UCL, Warwick, and Edinburgh, (all in the UK) deferred from Harvard, and rejected from Cambridge.

We’ll see come March. I’m sure I’ll land up at the right place. Again sorry for the late reply.

Congratulations on London School of Economics my friend :)

I’d honestly say all safeties except for HYP/Ox/Camb.
Good luck!
