Chances at ivy league & Stanford

<p>Hey guys! I'm an international student planning to apply to the ivy league, stanford, uchicago etc for economics. Please check out my stats and tell me how my chances are.</p>

<p>Test scores:</p>

<p>SAT:2130(710 CR, 760 math, 660 writing) probably will not submit
ACT:34
SAT ll :800 math 2, 800 physics</p>

<p>Academics:</p>

<p>We have no GPA but I got 96.6 % in my ICSE class 10 (Sophomore year) board exams
IB: predicted 41/42 (7 eco HL, 7 hist HL, 7 math HL, 6 French ab initio, 7 physics SL and 7 english SL)
class rank: Although school does not rank, I'm sure that I'm in the top 1-3%</p>

<p>Extracurriculars and volunteer work:</p>

<p>-2 years in varsity cricket
-eco club
-Another student and I came up with the first eco journal for the club. Both of us are editors.
-Have written articles for my city newspaper.
-Interned at the Gross national Happiness Commission Of Bhutan for 2 weeks. I shadowed a high ranking employee, went to meetings where I had the honor of meeting the Prime minister of Bhutan. The newspaper wrote an article on me due to this internship.
-Interned at the Center for Civil Society think tank in Delhi. I was the only high school student to be selected from a pool of over 800 candidates. I published a research paper on the parking policy of Delhi along with a NUS postgrad student.
- Initiated the student help desk at Harva a rural BPO. The help desk counsels students from poor background for higher education.
- Volunteered at believer's Church, a shelter for street children
- Total volunteer work should be around 100 hrs
- Currently, I am interning under Bibek Debroy, one of the senior most economists in India. I am helping him collect data on a book he is to publish.
- I have my own blog where I usually write articles on economics related and other relevant topics.
- I am an avid MUNer. I have been to various MUN's and won awards. I am also the director of my school's Security Council.
- With help of local authorities I set up a water harvesting system in my Grandfather's village.
- I have also volunteered at the IICLAM Moot competitions (International Infrastructure and Construction Law Arbitration Moot) organized by the National University of Singapore, Singapore International Arbitration Centre and National Law University, Delhi (NLU).</p>

<p>BTW my priority schools are Dartmouth and Uchicago, so you guys can perhaps evaluate my chances from their perspective.</p>

<p>Your ACT score is much better than your SAT score. Can your post the break down of your ACT section scores? If you have all sections above 30, then you should use your ACT + SAT2 scores for application, then you should have a decent chance (above the average acceptance rate). Nevertheless, international students may have more stringent requirement. You should give it a try anyway.</p>
