-University of Washington - Seattle

If you could advise me on my chances I would much appreciate it. Also, if you would recommend any additional schools or where I should apply Early Action/Decision I would appreciate it too! Thanks so much!

I heard some top schools would prefer sat scores… Why don’t you get an SAT I test? I feel a bit hard to tell your chances according to your profile…

I haven’t taken the SAT yet but I plan to. Based on a few practice tests I can try and predict my score within a range. Probably around a 2200 composite (single sitting), or by section (superscored) : Writing : 730 - 750, Math: 780 - 800 Reading: 780 - 800

bump, can I get some more feedback?

Stanford, MIT, and Brown - Reach
UC Berkeley, Cornell, and Northwestern - Low Reach
UT Austin and Seattle - Very good chances
Purdue and U of I - You’ll almost definitely get in

If you’re taking those 7 other AP classes this year that helps your chances, if those are junior and senior year combined then that’s about normal for these top schools. More leadership positions in your ECs will also help.

Please chance me back

Reach - MIT, Stanford
Low Reach - UCB (OOS)
High Match - Cornell, Brown, Northwestern
Safety - UT Austin, Seattle, Purdue, UIUC

Your ACT scores are on par with your reaches, don’t bother taking the SAT1. Maintain the 4.0UW through senior year, score >700 on SATIIs, and spend your time preparing for your junior year APs so you can 5 it out come May.

Focus on doing well on the APs and SATIIs. Then dump the majority of your time into your ECs that you have leadership in. If you can do something significant before mid-senior year you’ll have a decent shot at your reach schools.

also, check out CMU SCS!

Thanks so much guys! I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep that 4.0 UW, I will probably end up with a 3.85-3.9 UW after all is said and done. I thought CMU would be a little too “nerdy” and lacking in girls, but its about education right :p. More feedback is much appreciated!

Bumping until I can get ~8 opinions

Your basically in at all but UCB, MIT, and stanford. Those schools are so unpredictable that no one can really tell you your chances, but your chances are as good as any of the other applicants. I’d say your in a UCB probably, but it is still very hard to get into that school. Your an excellent candidate, and I can guarantee you will get into a good school. If you don’t get into your top choice then don’t worry. I thought I wanted to go to BU or NEU, until I saw the UConn campus. I loved it there, and got a good feel for what it would be like, and it is now my top choice.

Chance me back:

MIT Stanford Brown and Berk are all gambles, but everyone has a chance. I would work on leadership. Also, though not necessarily, take the SAT I because it is very logic based and I guess top tier schools like it. What was your ACT essay?
No ap compscience
Everything else is a match or safety(Austin)

Act writing was an 8
