<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>I'm currently a junior in high school and I'm trying to get some feedback as to how I look on an application so I can work to improve myself and see if I can realistically get into the schools I am aiming for.</p>

<p>I want to major in Computer Science, and here are a few of my top schools:</p>

<p>-UIUC (I live in Illinois)
-Stanford (Hope/Dream School)
-UT Austin
-UC Berkeley (Hope School)
-Brown</p>

<p>Feel free to only chance me for any of the schools, you don't have to give me chances for all.</p>

<p>GPA - 4.0 UW/ 4.47 Weighted (Will increase by next year, hopefully UW stays the same)</p>

<p>ACT -33, will take it again December.</p>

<p>AP Classes (Past, current, future)</p>

<ul>
<li>AP Government (5 on exam in 10th Grade)</li>
<li>AP US History </li>
<li>AP Psychology</li>
<li>AP Physics B</li>
<li>AP Physics C</li>
<li>AP Calc BC </li>
<li>AP Language and Composition</li>
<li>AP Literature and Composition</li>
<li>Intro to Engineering and Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics (Not AP classes, but college credit received)</li>
</ul>

<p>EC's</p>

<li>Band Member (9th - 12th) , this year in one of the best Symphonic Bands in the state (11th-12th)</li>
<li>Member of the Academic Team, Co-Captain (9th - 12th)</li>
<li>Math Team Member (9th)</li>
<li>FBLA Member (9th - 10th)</li>
<li>Tennis Team, Captain of JV soph year. Will be on Varsity 11th - 12th. (Possible State Qualifier)</li>
<li>NHS Hopeful, will find out later this week.</li>
<li>Volunteer at my local temple, help out with cultural events in my society </li>
<li>75 hours of volunteering at local hospital (Will complete this year and possibly attain more hours)</li>
</ul>

<p>Misc.</p>

<li>Know a bit of Java, C++, PHP, and HTML
-Published an App on the Android Market that just crossed 1000 downloads.</li>

<p>You seem pretty set. Just keep doing what you’re doing and with any luck the college stuff will work itself out.</p>

<p>You might want to do some more EC’s related to computing, though. There’s the [url=&lt;a href=“http://www.uwp.edu/sws/usaco/]USACO[/url”&gt;http://www.uwp.edu/sws/usaco/]USACO[/url</a>] if you’re into competitions, otherwise maybe you could get an internship, join a robotics club, or work on some pet projects (which may or may not look impressive on an application).</p>

<p>Thanks for the reply! I forgot to mention that I know Java, a bit of C++, PHP and HTML. I have also published an app on the android market. I can’t seem to find any internships for high school students but thanks for the info anyway!</p>
