Okay, so this past week my parents and I just finished visiting UMich and Oberlin, and because I am an insecure teenager girl, I began to wonder if I am actually good enough to be accepted to these schools. Much of the other schools I am applying to are just as good, if not better, than the two schools I just listed.

So, what I've done so far (I am a rising junior):
GPA - 3.78
Ap HuG - grade 4
APES - grade 4
APUSH - grade 5 (I recieved the academic award from my school for excellence acheieved in APUSH)
I plan on taking Ap Gov/ Politics, Ap Microeconomics, Ap English Language and Composition, Ap Psychology, Ap English Literature, Ap World History, Ap European History, and Ap Statistics.
I've taken Geometry, Honors Algebra I and Algebra II, I will be taking Pre-Calculus this year. I've taken Honors Biology and Chemistry, I will be taking Honors Physics this year.
I have three years of Latin and two years of Spanish for my languages, and I am also the Opinions Editor for my high school newspaper.
I have taken the PSAT and recieved a 210, which would translate to a 2100 for the SAT, I think.

As for extracurriculars, I have almost 1000 hours of community service. I volunteered for a camp for autistic children, but have since shifted my extracurriculars towards what I plan on doing, which is law or politics (currently, my plan is to pursue a career in academia). I was a Summer Fellow for President Obama's reelection campaign, and am currently an intern my County's Attorney's Office, which I plan on doing until I graduate high school. I have won three awards (Best Freshman Senator, Most Effective Committee Member and Most Effective Republican Ranking Member) from Model Student Senate, I was a semi finalist this past year for debate team, am a member of my school's literary magazine, and am also a member of National Honors Society and English Honors Society. I plan on participating in Girl's State and Ethic's Club. I also play on my school's soccer team, as well as participating in the competitive soccer programs in my area. The Students Against Destructive Decision club at my school was closed because a teacher couldn't sponsor it, and so I decided to get students together to make it an entirely student-run organization.
I have also won two writing awards for short essays, and have obviously been published numerous times in my school newspaper.
I plan on applying to UMich, Oberlin, Smith College, Georgetown (which is most likely my top choice), Florida State Univeristy (my safety school), Vassar College, UChicago, University of Virginia, American University, and some other colleges that are yet to be determined but will be just as good as the ones previously listed. I also plan on applying to Princeton and Oxford because why not.

Um, so yeah, my question is if I'm reaching for colleges that ultimately won't admit me. I know it's hard to tell, because a lot of times it is just the luck of the draw, but I need affirmation that I am going in the right direction.

Also, one more quick thing. I am a first generation American; my dad immigrated from Poland when he was 20. I do actually have Polish citizenship, and I was wondering if this would help me with the Oxford applications, because truthfully that is my dream school. No, I cannot speak Polish, but I am learning.
