Rutgers University (already got in)

Thank you for getting through all that, I will chance back if you provide link!

i definitely think that you are a match for McGill, College of New Jersey, and Rochester.
Harvard and Cornell are reaches for everyone, but i think you have an extremely good chance from what i’ve seen =]

chance meee?

Harvard College - reach for everyone
University of Pennsylvania - reach for everyone (less so than Harvard)
Johns Hopkins University - reach, but good chance
Cornell University - still a reach, but less so than Harvard and UPenn
McGill University - in
Vanderbilt University - Good Chance
University of Rochester - Good chance
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program) - in

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/836457-chance-student.html</a></p>

Harvard College-reach
University of Pennsylvania-low reach
Johns Hopkins University-high match
Cornell University-high match
McGill University-in
Vanderbilt University-match
University of Rochester-in
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program)-in

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/832752-chances-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

Harvard College: rach for everyone
University of Pennsylvania: low reach
Johns Hopkins University: match
Cornell University: high match
McGill University: in
Vanderbilt University: low match
University of Rochester-in
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program)-match?

I think you have solid stats.

Good numbers in test scores, but GPA will hurt D=
ECs are a little too focused but deep, they show what you’re dedicated to.

Harvard College- Low reach/rejection, only because of GPA
University of Pennsylvania- reach, but it depends on the program you applied to
Johns Hopkins University- high reach
Cornell University-high reach
McGill University-in
Vanderbilt University- match
University of Rochester- in
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program)- I’d say in

That is one nasty superscore. For your SAT IIs, though, that U.S. History is not looking pretty (you’re somewhere in the . Are you retaking it in January?

Your class choices make me shudder. AP Physics C and AP Chemistry?! That’s a helluva lot of work. Best of luck.

GPA is definitely weak, but your ECs should counterbalance that for most of the schools, with the exception of Harvard. One problem your ECs have at the elite level is that they don’t exactly show a wide range of interests. But they do show focus, if that makes you feel better. :D

I’ll chance you for the ones I know well. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest:

Harvard College: 3 (very low chance, mostly b/c of GPA)
University of Pennsylvania: 5 (I’m being very optimistic here; if they factor in your GPA more strongly, this number will probably go down)
Johns Hopkins University: ^ditto
Cornell University: ^ditto
Vanderbilt University: 7
University of Rochester: 9

And thanks for the chance!

[Chance me for an early birthday present? :D](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/827713-chance-aa-female-georgetown-american-howard-hamptons-uchicago-others.html)

thanks for the chances guys, but i just wanna clarify something, how does the number system work? The way i see it:

1-3= reach
4-6= match
7-10= In

Am I right in thinking that or are the numbers somewhat different?

For example, would the following be more accurate?
1-5= reach
6-7= match
8-10= in

Harvard College - reach
University of Pennsylvania - reach
Johns Hopkins University - match
Cornell University - reach
McGill University - ?
Vanderbilt University - match
University of Rochester - match
The College of New Jersey - match
Rutgers University - in

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/831894-chance-person-worst-grades-site-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

1 = Excellent chances, 10 = minimal chances

Harvard College - 8/9
University of Pennsylvania - 6/7
Johns Hopkins University - 5/6
Cornell University - 6
McGill University - can’t say; I would guess pretty good chances, though
Vanderbilt University - 4/5
University of Rochester - 2
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program) - can’t say; BS/MD programs are generally more competitive…

Harvard College - high reach
University of Pennsylvania - low reach
Johns Hopkins University - low reach
Cornell University - low reach
McGill University - in
Vanderbilt University - match
University of Rochester - in
The College of New Jersey - in

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/837007-chance-me-please-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

In everywhere def besides ivy league.
My friend had your stats about and was
denied from harvard but into Princeton.
And another friend… Also great stats got
into Harvard but weightlisted to Columbia.
It’s really a crapshoot. maybe ask around
And see how other kids from your school
With similar stats did. Hope this helped!

Oh… there gpa unweighted was higher
Opps. Sorry. But even so you never know
Best of luck to you!!

your us history gonna hurt
University of Pennsylvania - high match
Johns Hopkins University - match
Cornell University - high match
McGill University - low match
Vanderbilt University - low match
University of Rochester - low match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/835069-chance-me-one-last-time-will-return-favor.html</a></p>

Thank you very much guys, i hate how my gpa makes me stick out like a sore thumb from the many flawless ivy league applicants but hopefully i’ll get into at least one of them!

Harvard College - reach
University of Pennsylvania - reach
Johns Hopkins University - ok chance
Cornell University - ok chance
McGill University - good chance
Vanderbilt University - good chance
University of Rochester - good chance
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program) - good chance

Harvard College - reach (gpa is a bit too low)
University of Pennsylvania - reach
Johns Hopkins University - middle to low reach
Cornell University - middle to low reach
McGill University - dont know, but I think its a match
Vanderbilt University - match
University of Rochester - safety
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program) - dont know, but probably a safety

Even though your GPA is low, you have one hell of a course load- you are taking ORGO? sooo many kids die because of that course. Your SATs are insanely good. And your background is relatively diverse. The one thig that would hurt at Harvard is your ECs, but being from Russia could help you. It seems that everywhere is trying to create a better, more diverse student background all the time (and Harvard has always been progressive).

Harvard College - reach ( it is for everyone)
University of Pennsylvania - low reach
Johns Hopkins University - match
Cornell University - match/low reach
McGill University - match
Vanderbilt University - match
University of Rochester - match, if not in.
The College of New Jersey (BS/MD 7 year program) - match
Rutgers University (already got in) - congrats! :)

Harvard College - reach
University of Pennsylvania -reach (but very possible)
Johns Hopkins University - reach
Cornell University -reach
McGill University - match
Vanderbilt University - match
University of Rochester - match
The College of New Jersey - match

Good luck!
