Hey everyone! I just took my SAT and won’t get my results back until July but, I have a few questions about UAlbany’s School of Business. I was reading the requirements of the Digital Forensics major and it states that I need an 89 average and a 1200 on my SAT.
Here are my stats so far:
Weighted GPA- 4.0
(I’m not sure what my unweighted GPA is)
International Baccalaureate Candidate (IB)
Took AP Euro, AP English, and will take AP Calc
Standard EC’s - I feel like they’re very weak
-Lacrosse 2 Years
-Tennis 1 Year
-Handball 1 Year
-President of my own club
-Key Club 2 Years
-Band 2 Years
-tons of volunteer work
I’m very confident in my GPA however, I’m scared about my SATs. So, my question is, do they look at SATs closely? Will being an IB candidate help?
Also, does UAlbany look at Regent scores closely? A requirement for the IB diploma is to get the Advanced Regents Diploma however, my scores are very low but still passing. Do I really need to get over an 85 for UAlbany to look at me? (I am an NYS resident)
If anyone has any advice for the college process or is attending UAlbany and can say what their experience is/was like would really help!
