California resident, but still have to pay out of state fee bc of parents’ residency.

From what I know, UC’s don’t put a whole lot of weight on extracurriculars, but still those could really help you out.UC’s take more students living in California but I’m not sure about that whole situation with your parents’ residency. Also your SAT is a bit low (especially for Asians!) for Davis. But don’t worry too much about SAT, they are still discussing if they should remove the SAT requirement so I’m sure there isn’t too much weight into it. The most important part is your GPA. Your unweighted GPA is pretty good but your weighted looks a tad bit on the low side. If you get A’s in those AP classes during senior yr it could help out a lot. All in all, I think you have a solid chance (not good or bad, just in the middle) for UCSB and UC Davis. They practically accept a big chunk of the applicants. 39-41.3% is a huge amount.
