Chance me for UC Davis Please ;]

Im going to cut to the chase and not list all my classes haha.

Freshman year: 3.5 GPA
Sophmore year: 3.8
Junior year: 4.4

Senior year i will be taking 3 APs: Econ Ap, Stats AP, and AP enviromental science. I also will take physics and an english class. I am missing my first period so i was thinking of doing TA, <---- UCs wont think badly of me if i do right?

My UC GPA is 4.08

SAT I Scores: Highest Score together is 1900, (CR 600, W 600, M 700)
Highest CR score: 600
Highest Writing: 600
Highest Math: 720
SAT II scores: Chemistry: 670 (planning to retake)
Math 2: 670 (planning to retake)
Act: I plan on taking ACT in September, and so far on practice tests Ive received from 29-30.5, without Writing

Extracurriculars: I’ve been playing Piano outside of school as private lessons since third grade, so its been about 9 years now. I’m going to be a committee head of my school’s math club next year. Im working on becoming a lifetime member of CSF (California scholarship foundation?) I did a little bit more than 20 hours of service my sophomore year. Im currently doing volunteer service at a hospital near by, i plan on doing 40 hours or more there. I applied to NHS, but im not sure if ive been accepted.

Oh! and i am in the top 10% of my class. And became one of the top ten of my class based on my junior year GPA. (Straight As)

So what are my chances at UC Davis as applying for electrical engineering?

are you top 4%, because if you are , you are automatically accepted. But if not i still believe you have a very good shot.

Your subject tests are good, I would recommend re-taking the SAT and shooting for 2000 (make sure your scores are all from one sitting). :)

Your in 100%… great GPA, EC’s, and Subject tests and you SAT is above the average of those accepted

@ mccormick Hi again lol i jsut commented on your post from my other thread ;] thanks for responding. Uhm top 4% of my class? uhms that would be ELC right? I turned in the form for them to be allowed to get my transcript but no word from them yet. I dont know my ranking. It was top 10 based on that year’s gpa alone, not cummulative from freshman and sophmore and junior. If the top 4% you are talking about is cumulative it might not be too likely, because youve got some really smart people who took as many honors and Ap’s as they could. Also my freshman and junior werent the greatest, but at least there is always a positive correlation for my grades so far. But this year i dont know how i can get any better than straight A’s.

@ Maylix, im thinking about retaking the SAT but i have not been studying for that, i retoke it once and scored a 1870, my math raised by 20 but either my critical reading or writing lowered more.

Bump anymore? haha

its really arbitrary i would say. I had a friend who had similar but better stats then urs. still got rejected. all comes down to the ps
