Hello! I've been thinking about trying for a few schools out East, including UChicago, Georgetown SFS, Amherst, Williams, and Brown. I'd like to see if I should even bother applying. I'm mostly concerned about my rank. :(

A little bit about me:
Grade: 12
Ethnicity: Asian-American
Gender: Female
State: California
Intended Major: International Relations or Political Science

I'd also like to minor in Russian (or another equally cool language)

Possible Hooks: First Generation

I attend an extremely small(~240 kids), but fairly competitive, public high school in a not so good part of California. We don't have APs or sports, but we are on a college campus and we take college classes in addition to our regular high school classes.

Because we have such a small class size, my rank (percentile wise) is not too great, which is one of my main worries.

I have around 30 units from college classes I've taken, not including this year.

GPA: 3.92 UW

Rank: 8/56

ACT: 35 C
34 English
33 Math
36 Reading
36 Science
11 Essay
34 Combined English/Writing

I took Literature & US History subject tests last month; I hope those went well!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this! I know this is probably an extremely busy time for everyone, but good luck to all of you who are applying! I'm sure you'll all go far!

Thanks again! :)
