I got a C in physics I, but I wasn’t provided the equipment to see the board because I’m visually impaired (legally blind)

Did your parents save for OOS tuition at UCLA? There is no funding for non-residents. Your parents would have to pony up $60K per year. You can only borrow $5500 per year on your own.

@“aunt bea” Some, I’m hoping for some financial aid, probably won’t take me a long way to paying it off. I’m curious as to if my application would get rejected or not, so I can use it to gauge myself for other schools.

Your GPA has to be better than the in-state residents.

Why would you do EC’s that you hate??? It’s not about quantity or a collection of EC’s, but quality of activities that are your passions.
Your in-state options in Tennessee are probably your best bet. Private universities in California could probably fund you.

There is no financial aid for non-residents. As an OOS, you would have to pay the full $60K x 4 years =$240K. The UC’s are public schools funded by California state taxes. They don’t have the money to provide financial aid to non tax-paying residents.
You can only borrow $5500 freshman year from the federal government in your first year. That still leaves you with a bill of $55,400 for just the first year.
You can borrow $6500 for sophomore year and $7500 for Junior and Senior years.

You wouldn’t be able to pay this off and your parents would be saddled with a huge debt.

If your parents have a modest income, they probably won’t be able to borrow this much for you anyway.
