Hello, all!
I'm an OSS applicant (username lol) but I'm from LA and still have quite a few relatives there. I like Iowa City very much, but UCLA is my absolute dream school.
Anyway:

Unweighted GPA: 3.67
-Sharp rising trend since first trimester of junior year. I got As and Bs (and one very unfortunate C-) thanks to some issues at home. For the last two tris of junior year and the first tri of senior year, I got all As.
No weighted GPA provided.

ACT composite: 32
Math: 30
Reading:31

My class load is more or less rigorous:
Sophomore year:
-Spanish III Honors
-Band
-AP Euro
-English 10 Honors
-Advanced computer tech (hahahaha)
-Algebra II Honors
-Chemistry Honors

Junior year:
-AP Spanish IV/V
-AP Government
-AP Biology
-Pre-cal honors
-Band
-Introduction to journalism (XD)
-American Literature Honors

Senior year:
-AP Econ Macro/Micro
-AP Spanish independent study
-AP United States history
-AP Chem
-British Literature Honors
-Physics
-Band

ECs not too impressive...:
-160+ hrs volunteering mainly at the public library/hospital
-Academic Decathlon
-Congressional Award club (not very active, though)
-Marching band (although that is technically a class)
-Newspaper staff
-Taking lessons to read/write in Farsi

Extra Info/talents/qualities:
-Iranian-american
-Fluent in English, Farsi and can speak some Spanish
-Parents went to college
-Cousin went to UCLA?

I have a very strong personal statement. It's not cliche, and it has a strong personal voice (according to my old american lit teacher)!

So...I know it's definitely a reach, but do I have a reasonable chance? Can UCLA see my sharp improvement in grades and overlook the difficulties at home? I want to attend so badly....
